Fantasy Football Injury Report & Updates (2025)

We have some injuries to highlight, including multiple quarterbacks. See this week’s injury report below to help you prepare for Week 15 and the waiver wire.

Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Quarterback

Daniel Jones (QB – IND)

Daniel Jones suffered an Achilles injury in the Colts’ loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. According to head coach Shane Steichen, it’s “not looking good” and “could be season-ending.” This is an absolute gut punch for the Colts, who started their season 7-1. While they’ve now lost four of their last five, they had Jones under center despite a fracture in his left fibula.

Heading into Week 13, Jones was the QB7 in fantasy football with 3,041 passing yards, 19 touchdown passes, seven interceptions and five rushing touchdowns. His previous career highs were 3,205 passing yards and 24 touchdown passes, and he still had four games in addition to Week 14 to add to his resume.

If Anthony Richardson is unable to return from injured reserve (IR), it’ll likely be rookie signal-caller Riley Leonard the rest of the way.

Geno Smith (QB – LV)

Geno Smith left the Raiders’ loss to the Denver Broncos early with a right shoulder injury after landing on it hard after getting hit by Broncos defensive lineman Zach Allen. Kenny Pickett replaced him, and the severity is unknown.

Tyrod Taylor (QB – NYJ)

Tyrod Taylor left in the first quarter of the Jets’ loss to the Miami Dolphins with a groin injury. Fellow quarterback Justin Fields was also inactive, so rookie Brady Cook relieved Taylor.

Taylor had an interception and just six passing yards before leaving, so fantasy owners who started him finished with negative points. We’ll see if Taylor and/or Fields are active next week. If not, it’s Cook on the road against the surging Jaguars.

Jayden Daniels (QB – WSH)

After a scare involving the elbow in which Jayden Daniels dislocated in Week 9 (non-throwing), Commanders head coach Dan Quinn kept him out for the rest of the game.

This was Daniels’ first game back since the injury, and with Quinn pulling him out, it could go either way whether he plays next week or they potentially shut him down. Daniels completed 9-of-20 passes for 78 yards and an interception before exiting.

Marcus Mariota would start again if Daniels is held out next week.

Running Back

Keaton Mitchell (RB – BAL)

Keaton Mitchell had six carries for 76 yards, but left the Ravens’ loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers early with a knee injury. The severity is unclear. Either way, this backfield is owned by Derrick Henry.

De’Von Achane (RB – MIA)

De’Von Achane left the Dolphins’ win over the Jets with a rib injury. However, he was available to return on an emergency basis. That signals he should be OK to play next week against the Steelers.

Wide Receiver

Malachi Corley (WR – CLE)

Malachi Corley suffered a concussion in a loss to the Titans. That said, he has single-digit catches this season, so he is a non-factor in fantasy.

Tight End

Ian Thomas (TE – LV)

Ian Thomas suffered a calf injury against the Broncos. He caught just 11 passes heading into Week 14, so he has almost zero fantasy value.

Darnell Washington (TE – PIT)

Darnell Washington also suffered a concussion this week in his team’s win over the Ravens. He’s had some decent games lately, going for 45 yards or more in two of his last three games before Week 14, but has limited value.

Elijah Arroyo (TE – SEA)

Elijah Arroyo is set to have imaging done on a knee injury he suffered in the first half of the Seahawks’ win over the Atlanta Falcons. He has just 15 catches and one touchdown this season.

Zach Ertz (TE – WSH)

Zach Ertz suffered a gruesome-looking knee injury that was diagnosed as a torn ACL, ending his season. Now 35, you have to wonder if this could be it for Ertz, a player with nearly 8,600 receiving yards in his NFL career.

Heading into Week 14, Ertz was coming off a game with 10 catches for 106 yards.
