Fantasy Football Panic Meter (2025)

The championship week of the fantasy football playoffs is here, as we’re set for Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season. With that in mind, this week’s panic meter will focus on polarizing fantasy start sit debates. We’re focusing on whether you should keep disappointing big names in your lineup this week.

With that in mind, find out who I’m panicking on after Week 16.

Fantasy Football Panic Meter: Week 16

Emeka Egbuka (WR – TB)

Emeka Egbuka got off to such a promising start to his rookie season, but that feels like a distant memory with how he’s performed lately. The former Ohio State standout has been limited to only 173 yards in his last six games.

Even worse, we saw Egbuka fall to fourth among Tampa Bay wide receivers in route participation last week, behind Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan. With that in mind, there’s no way that you can start him this week.

Verdict: 10 out of 10 on the Panic Meter

Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR – ARI)

Marvin Harrison Jr. has a great matchup against the Bengals this week, but he was a part-time player in his return to action versus the Falcons in Week 16.

With Michael Wilson continuing to play at a high level, it’s difficult to trust Harrison, even in a prime spot like this one. Leave him on your bench unless you’re desperate at Flex.

Verdict: 10 out of 10 on the Panic Meter

Travis Kelce (TE – KC)

The Chiefs are down to their third-string quarterback in Chris Oladokun, making every pass-catcher completely untrustworthy this week.

Even though it’s a good spot against a pass-funnel Titans defense, I would suggest looking elsewhere if you’re stuck with Travis Kelce at tight end. Jake Tonges, who could draw the start if George Kittle sits, could be worth a look.

Verdict: 10 out of 10 on the Panic Meter

Breece Hall (RB – NYJ)

Breece Hall has been held back because he’s in a complete dumpster fire of an offense. The talented running back has failed to find the end zone in three consecutive games.

While the Patriots have shown holes in their run defense of late, it’s hard to rely on Hall in the fantasy championship.

Verdict: 8 out of 10 on the Panic Meter

Jaxson Dart (QB – NYG)

Jaxson Dart has had a promising rookie season, but interim head coach Mike Kafka seems to have completely neutered this offense. No more designed runs as they try to keep Dart healthy.

They’ve gone extremely run-heavy, which is why Dart gave us a complete dud in fantasy last week. Even against the Raiders, you can’t trust Dart here.

Verdict: 10 out of 10 on the Panic Meter
