Week 14 is here, so it’s time to build some NFL DFS cash game lineups.
Remember, when playing cash games, you want to target players with a nice combination of floor and ceiling. If there is a “free square” on the board, that is: A significantly underpriced player thrust into a huge bump in usage, then you can play them without thinking about how popular they’ll be among the field.
With that in mind, read on to learn more about my favorite DFS cash game picks for Week 14. We’ll provide pricing from both FanDuel and DraftKings for these picks. I’ll keep it tight, with two picks for each position.
Week 14 NFL DFS Cash Game Advice & Picks
The players below are the ones I’m looking at for NFL DFS cash game considerations this week.
Quarterbacks
Jayden Daniels (QB – WSH) at MIN | DraftKings: $6,000/FanDuel: $8,500
Jayden Daniels returned to a full practice this week, putting him on track to make his return against the Vikings. With Terry McLaurin back in the lineup, the Commanders looked like a totally different offense against a tough Broncos defense last week. Ride with Daniels on DraftKings, where he’s much more affordable.
Jacoby Brissett (QB – ARI) at TB | DraftKings: $5,700/FanDuel: $7,200
Jacoby Brissett continues to come in at discounted prices on DraftKings, making him a must-play in cash formats. Although he’s a bit expensive on FanDuel, you have to love that the veteran has essentially performed like “this year’s Jameis Winston.” Brissett is currently QB5 in fantasy points per game since taking over as the starter. Bet on another pass-heavy approach against the Rams.
Running Backs
James Cook (RB – BUF) vs. CIN | DraftKings: $7,800/FanDuel: $9,300
James Cook had over 30 touches for 140+ rushing yards last week, as the Bills heavily leaned on him in cold weather against the Steelers. Expect more frigid temperatures against the Bengals in Week 14, which likely means more heavy usage for Cook. It’s an absolute smash spot of a matchup, as the Bengals have given up the second-most rushing yards to running backs this year.
Chase Brown (RB – CIN) at BUF | DraftKings: $6,700/FanDuel: $7,300
Chase Brown has been on quite a roll lately, averaging 15.8 fantasy points per game since Week 7, which ranks as the RB8 during that stretch. Even with Samaje Perine back in the lineup and taking away some base work, you have to love Brown against the Bills. Buffalo ranks 30th in fantasy points per game allowed to running backs this year.
Wide Receivers
Jakobi Meyers (WR – JAX) vs. IND | DraftKings: $5,700/FanDuel: $6,100
Jakobi Meyers is cementing himself as the top target for the Jaguars, even with Brian Thomas Jr. back in the lineup. We just saw Meyers have his best game as a Jaguar, where he put up six catches for 90 yards and a touchdown. The veteran wideout has now scored a touchdown in back-to-back games. Up next is a matchup with the Colts, who rank 25th in fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers.
Devaughn Vele (WR – NO) at TB | DraftKings: $3,700/FanDuel: $5,500
Devaughn Vele is getting into a rhythm for the Saints, coming off a spike week versus the Dolphins, where he caught all eight of his targets for 93 yards and a touchdown. The former Bronco now has 15 targets in his last two games, making him an appealing punt play on DraftKings, where he provides salary relief at his $3,700 price point.
Tight Ends
Tyler Warren (TE – IND) at JAX | DraftKings: $5,000/FanDuel: $6,300
Tyler Warren is in a great matchup against the Jaguars, who rank 31st in fantasy points per game allowed to tight ends. While Warren hasn’t shown a super-high ceiling, maxing out at 15.8 half-PPR points, he’s a consistent contributor, showing a high floor, which makes him ideal for cash games.
Brenton Strange (TE – JAX) vs. IND | DraftKings: $3,900/FanDuel: $5,400
Brenton Strange finds himself in this column for the second week in a row. Since returning from injury, Strange has given us 5-93-0 and 3-45-1 lines, so you have to love the price, especially on DraftKings ($3,900). What’s more is that the Colts have struggled defending tight ends this year, ranking 28th in fantasy points per game allowed to the position.
