With the NBA All-Star break set to begin on Friday, Wednesday brings one of the largest NBA DFS slates of the season — a massive 10-game main slate tipping off at 7:00 p.m. ET. Slates of this size create plenty of opportunity, with a wide range of spreads and totals allowing us to target high-scoring environments while weighing blowout risk across the board.
The slate features three games carrying double-digit spreads, including the Orlando Magic (-10.5) hosting the Milwaukee Bucks, the Boston Celtics (-13.5) taking on the Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers checking in as hefty 17.5-point favorites against the Washington Wizards.
From a total perspective, two games clearly sit at the bottom: Los Angeles Clippers versus Houston Rockets (209.5) and Indiana Pacers at Brooklyn Nets (214.5). Every other matchup comes in at 220.5 or higher, highlighted by a slate-high 237.5 total in the Portland Trail Blazers versus Minnesota Timberwolves and Wizards versus Celtics matchups.
With several teams navigating key injuries, properly identifying game environments and leveraging roster construction will be critical to separating from the field on Wednesday. Below are the top plays and value options to consider for the slate.

NBA DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Primer
NBA DFS Core Plays
Anthony Edwards (SG, SF – MIN)
- DraftKings: $9,700
- FanDuel: $10,200
Anthony Edwards has been on a tear over his last six games, averaging 31.7 points — the third-most in the NBA during that span — while adding 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He’s topped 50 fantasy points in four of those six outings, showcasing both a safe floor and a high ceiling.
Edwards gets a prime spot on Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers in a matchup tied for the highest total on the slate at 237.5. points He also torched Portland on opening night, pouring in 41 points to go along with seven rebounds, one assist and one block, making this another spot where he profiles as a top-end DFS option.
Jalen Brunson (PG – NYK)
- DraftKings: $10,200
- FanDuel: $9,100
Jalen Brunson has caught fire of late, scoring at least 40 points in two of his last four games and eclipsing 60 fantasy points in both performances. He’s attempted at least 20 shots in each of his last four outings, and that aggressive approach should remain intact in a competitive matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, a game carrying a tight 2.5-point spread.
Brunson has also found consistent success against Philadelphia this season, averaging 28 points, five rebounds and 6.3 assists across three meetings. With volume, matchup and game environment all lining up, he once again profiles as a high-end DFS option with slate-breaking upside.
NBA DFS Cash Game Targets
NBA DFS GPP Targets
Kevin Porter Jr. (PG, SG – MIL)
- DraftKings: $7,900
- FanDuel: $8,900
Kevin Porter Jr. missed six games with an oblique strain but has returned to action in a big way, appearing in three straight contests and operating without a minutes restriction. He logged 36 minutes against the Orlando Magic on Monday and stuffed the stat sheet with 28 points, four rebounds, seven assists and one steal, signaling that he’s fully ramped back up.
After getting Tuesday off, Porter will face Orlando again on Wednesday, and he’s been Milwaukee’s most productive player since returning. Over that three-game stretch, he’s averaging a team-high 23 points to go along with 5.7 rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
With his usage and minutes firmly in place, Porter offers strong upside and could be a key reason the Bucks keep things competitive despite entering as 10.5-point underdogs.
Jaden Ivey (PG, SG – CHI)
- DraftKings: $5,600
- FanDuel: $5,800
NBA DFS Value Plays
Andre Drummond (C – PHI)
- DraftKings: $4,500
- FanDuel: $4,800
Andre Drummond drew the start on Monday against the Portland Trail Blazers with Joel Embiid (knee) sidelined and delivered a well-rounded line of 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two blocks in 26 minutes. Monday’s performance proved Drummond’s ability to contribute fantasy numbers when elevated into a starting role.
Embiid is questionable again for Wednesday’s matchup against the New York Knicks, and if he is ruled out, Drummond becomes an excellent value at his current price point. He logged 32 minutes against New York on December 18th, finishing with 14 points, 13 rebounds, one assist and one block.
As long as Embiid remains sidelined, Drummond projects to exceed value with relative ease, though injury reports should be monitored closely leading up to tip-off.
Kasparas Jakucionis (PG – MIA)
- DraftKings: $3,900
- FanDuel: $4,600
With the Miami Heat dealing with multiple injuries, Kasparas Jakucionis should once again be in line for 20+ minutes. He’s made the most of the expanded role, ranking second on the team in scoring over his last two games while averaging 21 points to go along with three rebounds, 3.5 assists and one steal per game in 29.1 minutes.
Jakucionis should remain heavily involved offensively in this spot and draws a favorable matchup against a New Orleans Pelicans defense ranked 27th in defensive rating this season. With minutes and usage trending up in a favorable matchup, he profiles as a strong value option.
