6 Dynasty Rookies to Watch: Wide Receivers (Fantasy Football)

Which Rookie Wide Receiver are you monitoring the most heading into the NFL Draft and why? Also, how do you think that player’s best and worst landing spots could impact his value?

Denzel Boston (FA)

“With all of the attention going towards the likes of Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson, and Makai Lemon, Denzel Boston has a chance to be a steal for someone in next month’s draft. Boston dominates with his size, 6’4, weighing 209 lbs, and elite hands, gathering 20 touchdowns across the last two seasons for the Washington Huskies. Boston would benefit greatly from joining an offense that has an established quarterback with an established number one receiver next to him. Boston’s struggles at the end of 2025 came as a result of teams planning to take him out of games. Now add him into an offensive setup where he cannot be doubled up, say with the Giants or with the Seahawks, for example, and there becomes a one-on-one nightmare for teams to handle.”
Ed Birdsall (Talking Points Sports)

“Heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, one rookie wide receiver I am monitoring most is Washington’s Denzel Boston because he possesses a rare “X” receiver profile that is often undervalued in a class top-heavy with smaller separators like Makai Lemon. Despite biding his time behind elite talents like Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan, Boston has emerged as a late first-round gem whose 6’4″, 212-pound frame and 61% career contested-catch rate make him a nightmare on the boundary. While he is often compared to Drake London for his high-pointing ability, his sneaky vertical speed, reminiscent of a bulkier Christian Watson, was proven by his 78-yard punt return touchdown against UC Davis. His best-case landing spot is undoubtedly the New England Patriots, where he could immediately become the “alpha” target Drake Maye desperately needs to elevate their passing attack. Conversely, his value would plummet if he landed with a run-heavy, low-volume offense like the Pittsburgh Steelers or Baltimore Ravens, where his need for consistent targets to establish a rhythm could be marginalized. Ultimately, Boston is one of the draft’s biggest overlooked players who could outperform his mid-to-late first-round projection if paired with a creative play-caller.”
Lawrence Iacona (Gridiron Experts)

Omar Cooper Jr. (FA)

“Many fantasy analysts are down on Omar Cooper Jr., and when you dive into the numbers, it’s easy to see why. His adjusted receiving yards per team pass attempt grades out in the 39th percentile. He saw route participation rates of below 60% in each of his last two seasons, and the main thing to hang your hat on is a 2.54 yards per route run number, which is fine, but not the kind of domination we want from top-end receivers. With all that said, the NFL seems to like Cooper, and he’s been flipped with Denzel Boston in Mock Drafts by some of the top analysts like Daniel Jeremiah and Dane Brugler, making it hard to ignore the potential draft capital in the mix. Jeremiah recently mocked Cooper to the Jets at 16th overall, which is great draft capital, but would be a nightmare for fantasy, potentially with Garrett Wilson firmly established. Dropping to Carolina (19th) or Philadelphia (23rd) could make for easier fantasy situations, particularly if AJ Brown is no longer with the Eagles.”
Tom Strachan (NFL Best Ball)

“I’ll be monitoring Omar Cooper Jr. closely heading into the NFL Draft. The Cooper drumbeat has been loud and effective, as he’s climbed from a late Day 2 to a Round 1 projection on the NFL Mock Draft Database. There are certainly things to like about his game: sticky hands, a physical playstyle, and real explosiveness after the catch. But the overall profile doesn’t scream first-round talent to me, and I think people may reach on him in dynasty rookie drafts if he gets the draft capital. The most common landing spots in recent mocks have been the Jets (16th overall) and the Browns (24th overall). Both give him a shot at legitimate target volume early, but quarterback play and overall offensive efficiency will be major question marks at either destination. Outside of maybe Miami, I don’t see a landing spot where Cooper realistically emerges as a WR1 on his team.”
Jim Moorman (Dynasty Football Factory)

Elijah Sarratt (FA)

“While Omar Cooper Jr. seems to be everyone’s flavor of the month and is gaining steam as a potential Round 1 selection, I’ve got my eye on his teammate, Elijah Sarratt. It wasn’t that long ago that the dynasty community was talking about Sarratt like they’re buzzing about Cooper right now. Seems like everyone forgot how dominant he was last season, leading the nation with 15 receiving touchdowns. He finished his senior year with 65 receptions for 830 yards while helping the Hoosiers go undefeated and win a National Championship. Sarratt dominates by using his size and strength to create space. He can play inside as a big slot if needed, but he really shines on the outside along the boundary. There are several teams looking for outside receiver help: the Raiders, Browns, Saints, Titans, and Bills. All could use Sarratt’s services in their passing attack. A reunion in Las Vegas with QB Fernando Mendoza, who’s a lock to go No. 1, makes a ton of sense and would give the Raiders a duo that already has built-in chemistry.”
Wolf Trelles-Heard (FantasyPros)

Makai Lemon (FA)

“It’s going to be interesting to see where Makai Lemon lands. He’s drawn comparisons to fellow USC product Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Lemon has the potential to be the same sort of high-volume target earner from the slot. The problem is that a lot of Lemon’s potential landing spots are unappealing. He’s reportedly visited the Rams, who already have Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Lemon has reportedly visited the Browns, who have an unsettled QB situation. The Jets could potentially draft Lemon at No. 16 — a nightmare landing spot for fantasy purposes. But Lemon has also made visits to Washington, where he could be paired with QB Jayden Daniels, and Miami, where he would instantly become the Dolphins’ No. 1 receiver. With a favorable landing spot, Lemon might be the first receiver off the board in most dynasty rookie drafts and could immediately become a significant contributor. With an undesirable landing spot, Lemon might go after Carnell Tate and Jordyn Tyson in most rookie drafts and could be a player you won’t be comfortable putting in your starting lineup in Year 1.”
Pat Fitzmaurice (FantasyPros)

“I am extremely curious about how the NFL views Makai Lemon. His polarizing NFL Combine Podium appearance aside, the former USC WR projects best at the next level as a slot WR. It will be telling by which team selects the 5-foot-11 and 192-pound wideout (and how high), as it will provide insight on how they view him in their specific offense. I feel best about Lemon going to a team where there’s an obvious need for an inside WR, and where he can just be dropped into some high volume from Day 1. Teams I like the most for Lemon, given the projected opportunities from the slot, include Cleveland, Carolina, New York Giants, New York Jets, Washington, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City. Tennessee, New Orleans, and Miami might not be the best slot landing spots based on the current receiver rooms.”
Andrew Erickson (FantasyPros)

Jordyn Tyson (FA)

Jordyn Tyson is the wide receiver I can’t stop coming back to in this class. The size, the speed, and the downfield threat are all there, and he doesn’t need a massive target share to make a fantasy impact. The best landing spot is the Kansas City Chiefs, and it’s not particularly close. Andy Reid will scheme him into mismatches, Mahomes will find him off-script, and you are looking at a league-winning spike week machine. The worst-case scenario is a run-heavy offense with a QB who can’t throw deep. Those offensive systems will suffocate his skill set and turn him into a non-factor. Tyson’s value is tied to his landing spot, which makes draft night a must-watch for dynasty managers.”
Dennis Sosic (Fantasy Six Pack)

K.C. Concepcion

“I absolutely love KC Concepcion. With the recent news of his knee scope, I’m curious if he’ll still be a first-round NFL Draft pick, but he has the talent to be a top 32 selection. It wouldn’t be the first time that NFL teams got cute and let a talented player fall down the board and possibly into the second round. A landing spot like the Dolphins or Patriots at the end of round 1 would give him the runway to possibly establish himself as their WR1 in his rookie season, but if he goes to Houston or Kansas City at the end of round 1 or the top of round two, then his rookie season outlook gets a tad more murky. I’ll still be drafting him without a doubt because I bet on talent with rookies and don’t overweight landing spots, but if he goes to Houston or Kansas City, we’ll likely see his rookie draft ADP dip some.”
Derek Brown (FantasyPros)
