10 Dynasty Rookies & Values to Target in Drafts (Fantasy Football)

10 Dynasty Rookies & Values to Target in Drafts (Fantasy Football)

The first round of 2026 dynasty rookie drafts has become unusually predictable. Most fantasy football leagues are seeing the same dozen names come off the board in nearly identical order, which means the real edge this year starts in Round 2 and beyond.

That’s where dynasty managers can separate themselves by identifying players with strong long-term upside, favorable landing spots, or market discounts relative to talent.

Dynasty Rookies Experts Love to Draft | Fantasy Football

This year’s rookie class may not have elite depth, but there are plenty of intriguing dart throws and developmental bets available after the obvious names are gone. Here are 10 dynasty rookie values fantasy football analysts are aggressively targeting in the middle rounds of dynasty rookie drafts.

Germie Bernard (WR – PIT)

Germie Bernard feels undervalued relative to both his draft capital and long-term projection.

The Steelers selected Bernard inside the top 50 picks, yet he continues slipping into the middle of the second round in many dynasty rookie drafts. That disconnect is creating value.

The concerns are understandable. Pittsburgh’s quarterback situation remains unsettled, and Bernard enters a room featuring DK Metcalf and Pat Freiermuth. Still, dynasty players should focus on talent over immediate target competition.

Bernard brings positional versatility, strong route-running ability, and toughness over the middle. He profiles as a reliable possession receiver capable of working both outside and in the slot.

In dynasty formats, betting on talented receivers with Day 2 draft capital is usually a profitable long-term strategy.

Adam Randall (RB – BAL)

Adam Randall is one of the more fascinating upside swings in this rookie class.

Originally a wide receiver, Randall transitioned to running back and now lands in Baltimore behind Derrick Henry. That developmental profile creates uncertainty, but also creates room for hidden upside.

The Ravens have lacked explosiveness behind Henry, and Randall’s pass-catching ability gives him a potential pathway to touches sooner than expected.

Justice Hill still projects for a role, but Randall could eventually emerge as the primary backup and long-term successor if the transition continues progressing smoothly.

Late-round dynasty picks should be used on players with unique athletic traits and uncertain ceilings. Randall checks both boxes.

Emmett Johnson (RB – KC)

Emmett Johnson landed in one of the better situations for long-term fantasy value.

Kansas City needed backfield depth behind Kenneth Walker, and Johnson has a legitimate chance to become the clear RB2 quickly. His combination of pass-catching ability, production, and vision makes him especially intriguing in PPR dynasty leagues.

Johnson may not possess elite size or speed, but he consistently produced at Nebraska and demonstrated reliable receiving skills.

The larger fantasy angle here is workload opportunity. Walker has struggled to stay healthy throughout his NFL career, and the Chiefs are unlikely to overwork him during the regular season.

That creates potential standalone value for Johnson while also giving him contingency upside if Walker misses time.

Ted Hurst (WR – TB)

Ted Hurst is one of the classic size-speed projection bets dynasty managers love targeting late.

At 6-foot-4 with legitimate vertical ability, Hurst profiles as a developmental perimeter weapon with major upside if the route running continues improving.

The small-school background creates understandable skepticism, but Tampa Bay’s depth chart is less intimidating than it appears on the surface.

Chris Godwin‘s durability remains a concern, and the long-term hierarchy behind Emeka Egbuka is far from settled. Hurst may not contribute heavily right away, but dynasty managers should be willing to stash athletic profiles like this.

In weak rookie classes, betting on upside traits often beats chasing low-ceiling floor plays.

Skyler Bell (WR – BUF)

Skyler Bell may be one of the best pure separators in this rookie class.

The former UConn receiver consistently generated space with sharp movement skills, acceleration, and route efficiency. Buffalo’s receiving corps also leaves room for opportunity behind Khalil Shakir and DJ Moore.

Bell’s hands can occasionally be inconsistent, but his ability to get open matters in fantasy football, especially when paired with an elite quarterback like Josh Allen.

The Bills still lack a true long-term answer behind Shakir, and Bell’s skill set could eventually carve out a meaningful role in one of the NFL’s best passing offenses.

That’s exactly the type of profile dynasty managers should chase in the middle rounds.

Chris Brazzell (WR – CAR)

Chris Brazzell offers one of the more intriguing vertical profiles in this class.

Unlike some developmental size-speed receivers, Brazzell produced against SEC competition before entering the NFL. That matters when evaluating projection prospects.

Carolina also presents a realistic path to snaps opposite Tetairoa McMillan. Xavier Legette remains unproven, and Jalen Coker still has durability concerns.

Brazzell likely won’t become a high-volume PPR option, but his ability to stretch the field creates spike-week upside. If Bryce Young takes another developmental step forward, Brazzell could emerge as a useful best-ball and dynasty asset much sooner than expected.

Malachi Fields (WR – NYG)

Malachi Fields looks like one of the better post-hype dynasty values in this rookie class.

A disappointing 40-yard dash pushed Fields down NFL Draft boards and dynasty rankings, but his film consistently showed a productive, physical receiver capable of winning contested catches.

At 6-foot-4 and over 215 pounds, Fields brings a massive catch radius and strong red-zone potential.

The Giants desperately need reliable weapons behind Malik Nabers, and Fields could quickly climb the depth chart if he develops chemistry with Jackson Dart.

His combination of size, agility, and ball skills makes him an appealing long-term stash in dynasty formats.

Kaytron Allen (RB – WAS)

Washington’s backfield remains one of the more wide-open situations in football.

That uncertainty makes Kaytron Allen a worthwhile dynasty target despite modest draft capital. Allen produced consistently at Penn State and profiles as a physical early-down runner capable of earning carries quickly.

Rhamondre White likely handles passing-down work, but neither he nor Bill Croskey-Merritt feels locked into a featured role long term.

Allen’s vision and ball security could help him earn trust from the coaching staff early in his rookie season.

In ambiguous backfields tied to ascending offenses, dynasty managers should always be willing to invest in inexpensive running backs.

Elijah Sarratt (WR – BAL)

Elijah Sarratt may be the best value pick in the entire second round.

The former Indiana receiver consistently produced against quality competition and profiles as a polished possession target capable of fitting perfectly alongside Lamar Jackson.

Sarratt is not a burner, but he wins with route running, physicality, and elite ball skills. He also demonstrated the ability to produce in crowded target environments.

Baltimore still lacks a long-term answer behind Zay Flowers, and Sarratt could eventually develop into one of Lamar Jackson‘s favorite chain-moving targets.

The landing spot, quarterback quality, and player profile all point toward a dynasty value worth aggressively targeting.

Demond Claiborne (RB – MIN)

Demond Claiborne feels tailor-made for Kevin O’Connell’s offense.

Minnesota’s scheme creates favorable rushing environments thanks to spacing and light boxes, and Claiborne’s burst gives him a chance to capitalize immediately if opportunities emerge.

Aaron Jones is entering his 30s, while Jordan Mason remains a limited role player. That leaves room for Claiborne to carve out touches, especially as a change-of-pace option.

Claiborne’s elite acceleration and big-play ability make him one of the more interesting late-round running back darts in dynasty drafts.

If he secures a roster spot early and earns special teams work, his value could rise quickly during training camp.
