Jhonny Peralta started at third base on Opening Day Sunday evening against the Cubs and went 1-for-4 with three strikeouts.
Fantasy Impact:
Peralta was replaced at third base by Matt Carpenter for defensive purposes late in the game Sunday evening. This should be a consistent theme as Peralta is in the lineup more for his bat than his glove. He is expected to split starting duties with Jedd Gyorko, although Gyorko was already in the lineup at second base. Peralta should not be in your lineup in season-long leagues and is a desperate play in DFS.
