Kenley Jansen shows meager velocity in spring outing

Kenley Jansen faced the Indians tonight, pitching a scoreless inning. However, the box score won’t tell you everything you need to know. The concerning part was that Jansen’s velocity was sitting at 88-92 MPH.

Fantasy Impact:

There is a lot to consider after seeing the concerning dip in velocity. This could be due to mechanical adjustments, Jansen’s noticeable weight loss or being that it’s truly just his first time pitching in a spring training game this season. His current NFBC ADP is 74.54 with a min pick of 61 and max pick of 69. The public will surely overreact right away whether it be warranted or not.
