In a letter to baseball operations personnel on Monday, commissioner Rob Manfred said that he "fully anticipates baseball will return this season." Additionally, 18 MLB teams have pledged to pay baseball-ops employees through May. (Jeff Passan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
While some teams have committed to paying employees through May, others are still weighing their fiscal options at this point. Many teams have furloughed lower-paid employees, and others have outlined plans for pay cuts. While this is a generally positive sign for the potential return to normalcy for the league, there is still much uncertainty with financial longevity, employment logistics and, of course, personnel safety.
