Matt Adams has signed a minor-league contract with the Atlanta Braves after being released by the New York Mets on 7/18. (Atlanta Braves on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Adams exercised the opt-out clause in his contract and the Mets granted his request to be released. He quickly resurfaces with one of his former teams; appearing in 100 games for Atlanta back in 2017. With the universal DH being implemented for the shortened 2020-season he could see regular ABs for the Braves. Adams hasn't hit for average the last two years and he's a liability in OBP leagues but he should have plenty of RBI opportunities for a loaded Braves squad.
