Austin Adams was part of the deal that brought Austin Nola to San Diego on Sunday. The Padres, 21-15 this season, are loading up on talent to make a run in the playoffs. (Ken Rosenthal on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Adams hasn't pitched yet this season as he stands on the precipice of a return from ACL surgery. Before the trade, the Mariners were considering bringing him back as early as Monday. He does not figure to be in the mix for saves in San Diego. Owners in 12-team standard redraft leagues can leave him on the waiver wire.
