Fantasy Impact:
Not long ago, Kelenic was the #4 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline after being selected sixth overall by the Mets in 2018. However, he has not seen much success at the big league level, slashing just .211/.282/.376 across nearly 1,500 career plate appearances with the Mariners and Braves. Kelenic hit a career-high 15 home runs in Atlanta in 2024, but batted only .167 in 60 at bats with the Braves last season. After his demotion to Triple-A, he managed to hit only .213 with Gwinnett. Still only 26, Kelenic will have an opportunity to compete for an opening day spot in Chicago and would have a greater chance if the White Sox trade Luis Robert or Andrew Benintendi.
