Ian Stewart goes 2-for-4 in loss to Cardinals
by Kerry Kauffman | Tue, Mar 31st 3:36pm EDT
The Washington Nationals fell to the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday by the score of 6-2. The Nationals had seven hits, two of which came from Ian Stewart, who raised his average to .286 this spring. Stewart has 7 runs scored, 4 RBI and 4 walks in Grapefruit League play.
Fantasy Impact:
Stewart hit just .176 in 68 at bats with the Angels last season. He didn't play in the Major Leagues in 2013 and hasn't been a full time starter since he played 147 games in 2009. Stewart, a non-roster invitee, likely will have little fantasy value, even if he makes the Nationals' roster.
