Ivan Nova agrees to minor-league contract with Phillies

Free agent pitcher Ivan Nova has signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies according to Bob Nightengale. (Bob Nightengale on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The contract would pay Nova $1.5 million if he makes it on to the major league roster. The 34-year-old Nova struggled mightily in 2020 with the Tigers, in a small sample, when he posted a 8.53 ERA over 19.0 innings (four starts). This is a low-risk signing by the Phillies.
