Detroit left-hander Derek Holland allowed three runs over 2 2/3 innings of work in a 4-1 loss to Cleveland on Friday. Holland struck out three in the loss.
Holland gave up a two-run homer to Franmil Reyes in the first inning but calmed down after that. He wasn't originally scheduled to start on Friday but Julio Teheran was a last-minute scratch. As long as Teheran checks out, expect Holland to head back to his bullpen role.
