The Washington Nationals placed right-hander Joe Ross (forearm) on the 10-day injured list Sunday. (Mark Zuckerman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Ross was dealing with forearm tightness after his long relief appearance last Wednesday against the Mets. He underwent an MRI on Sunday, which revealed a partial tear of the UCL. The right-hander will undergo further evaluation before determining if Tommy John surgery is a possibility. No final decision has been made. Ross’ season is most likely over, and he will finish 2021 with a (5-9) record along with a 4.17 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 109 strikeouts over 108 innings.
