Athletics starting pitcher Mike Fiers (elbow) is scheduled to make a rehab start with the organization's Triple-A affiliate next week. If all goes well, the 36-year-old could find himself in the big-league rotation before the end of the season. (Martin Gallegos on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Fiers opened the year on the injured list before making two starts in April and May. He has been out since May 8 with a sprained right elbow that required placement on the 60-day injured list. The right-hander allowed eight runs (including four homers) through 9.1 innings of work this season. He went 33-15 from 2018 to 2020 and could give the A's rotation a boost during the final weeks of the season.
