Fantasy Impact:
Gardner had his contract option declined by the Yankees and did not sign before the lockout ended. His agent said he hopes to be with the Yankees in 2022, but could sign elsewhere. Gardner could provide outfield depth, but likely won't make a huge impact for Fantasy leagues. Last season Gardner slashed .222/.327/.362 in 461 plate appearances with ten home runs and four stolen bases.
