Phillies designate Kevin Correia for assignment

The Philadelphia Phillies have designated veteran SP Kevin Correia for assignment, the team has announced. Severino Gonzalez has been recalled and will be starting on Thursday. (Phillies)
Fantasy Impact:
Correia was another veteran arm the Phillies tried to pull in to eat innings in what's become a season to forget. The right-hander was unable to do so, posting a 6.56 ERA over 23 1/3 innings. He was walking nearly as many batters as he struck out per nine innings, and his fastball velocity was below 90 mph.
