The Toronto Blue Jays and shortstop Bo Bichette have avoided arbitration. (Ben Nicholson-Smith on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Nicholson-Smith notes while the terms of the deal are unclear, it's possible a multi-year contract was agreed upon. The star shortstop is coming off another big season from 2022 in which he hit .290 with 24 home runs, 13 stolen bases, and an .802 OPS across 159 games. In fact, his 129 wRC+ from 2022 was even better than his 122 mark from 2021 when he hit 29 home runs with 25 stolen bases while exceeding 100 runs and RBI. Bichette is among the top-tier of MLB shortstops and stands to be one of the first three shortstops taken off the draft board.
