Sanchez met with the media Friday and noted he has progressed to throwing bullpens and is down a whopping 46 pounds. While not fully cleared, he hopes to pitch in spring games and land a spot on the Opening Day roster. The 24-year-old burst onto the scene in the shortened 2020 season, tossing a 3.46 ERA in seven regular-season starts before making a pair of postseason starts. The 24-year-old hasn't pitched at any level since that 2020 campaign.
