San Francisco Giants outfielder Austin Slater is "100 percent" confident he will be ready for Opening Day as he works his way back from right elbow neuritis. (MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Slater went 0-for-3 with a walk in his spring debut as the Giants' designated hitter on March 12. Giants skipper Gabe Kapler said Slater will need to complete a throwing progression before he returns to the outfield but it appears the 30-year-old is on track to begin the season. A platoon player, Slater hit seven homers with 12 steals and a .774 OPS across 325 plate appearances in the 2022 campaign.
