Xander Bogaerts (wrist) out next two days

San Diego Padres shortstop Xander Bogaerts is out for the next two days after receiving a cortisone shot in his wrist. (Kevin Acee on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Bogaerts is wearing a splint on the wrist after receiving the shot but is set to play in the club's final two Cactus League games and will be ready for Opening Day after sitting out the next couple of days. The Padres signed the former Red Sox shortstop to an 11-year megadeal this winter after he hit .307 with 11 homers, eight steals, and an .833 OPS across 150 games in 2022. He may not boast as much power as the other elite shortstops but should remain a quality source of OPS, runs, and RBI on a loaded Padres offense.
