Jose Altuve (thumb) to be placed on 60-day IL

The Houston Astros are expected to place second baseman Jose Altuve on the 60-day injured list to begin the season. (Chandler Rome on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Altuve broke his thumb while participating in the World Baseball Classic and isn't expected to return before June. The 32-year-old enjoyed of his best big-league seasons in 2022, hitting 28 home runs with 18 stolen bases and a .920 OPS across 141 games. Altuve is a strong draft-and-stash candidate but will miss much of the season's first half in 2023.
