Sal Frelick undergoes successful thumb surgery

Sal Frelick underwent successful surgery to repair the UCL in his left thumb. He is expected to be out 6-8 weeks. (Adam McCalvy on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The 23-year-old will be forced to miss extended time due to his thumb. He was hitting .232 with a .638 OPS, so he will have some work to do both in his recovery and on the field until we see him in the big leagues.
