Pete Alonso signs with Mets

Fantasy Impact:
Alonso's new contract includes an opt-out after the first season, in which he is set to make $30 million. The 30-year-old slugger's signing will likely now open a coemption at third base between Mark Vientos, Brett Baty, Ronny Mauricio, and Luisangel Acuna. Alonso posted a .240 average, with 34 home runs, and 88 RBI in 162 games last season.
