Michael Grove (shoulder) unlikely to be ready for Opening Day

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Michael Grove (shoulder) will not be available for the start of the season, Jack Harris of The Los Angeles Times reports.

Grove has been behind schedule this spring after suffering a shoulder injury during the NLDS and delaying his offseason throwing program. The right-hander worked in a swingman role last season, making two starts across 39 appearances while posting a 5.12 ERA with a 54:16 K:BB over 51 innings. With Grove sidelined to begin the year, the Dodgers will likely rely on depth arms to cover innings out of the bullpen.
