Deven Marrero a candidate for trade

Red Sox infielder Deven Marrero could find himself in a new organization this off season as he is blocked at SS by Xander Bogaerts and not enough of an offensive presence to man 3B. Probably the best defensive infielder in the Red Sox system, Marrero could be an attractive option to an offensively sound team in need of a defensive upgrade. (John Tomase - WEEI)
Fantasy Impact:
The questions around Marrero have always been whether he would hit enough to stay in the Major Leagues. In his 56 plate appearance with the Red Sox this season Marrero posted a .226/.268/.283. Hardly inspiring numbers despite the very limited sample size. Even if Marrero finds a starting job in 2016 he is not an option at SS worth considering.
