Caleb Durbin sidelined after forearm injury
by Bruno Mulé | Brewers Correspondent | Thu, Mar 13th 11:24am EDT
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Caleb Durbin has been out of Cactus League action since Saturday after being struck in the forearm by a foul ball, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. (Curt Hogg)
Fantasy Impact:
X-rays on Durbin’s forearm came back negative, and the Brewers are not overly concerned about the injury. Murphy noted that Durbin could have played Tuesday against the Cubs, but the team opted to give him extra rest with Wednesday’s off day. If he returns to the lineup Thursday against the White Sox, he will continue his push for a spot on the Opening Day roster. Despite showcasing power (two home runs) and speed (two stolen bases) this spring, Durbin has struggled at the plate, hitting just .172.
