Euri Montero signs minor league deal with Nationals

The Washington Nationals signed Euri Montero to a minor league contract on Friday and assigned him to the FCL Nationals. (mlb.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Montero will report to the Florida Complex League, where he last pitched in 2022 while in the Miami Marlins organization, posting a 2.93 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. The 23-year-old has yet to advance beyond Single-A and holds a career 5.18 ERA and 1.51 WHIP over four minor league seasons, working primarily out of the bullpen. Though still developing, Montero remains a projectable arm, and the Nationals will look to refine his mechanics and command as he begins this next chapter in their system.
