Jose Siri (tibia) resumes baseball activities

by Bruno Mulé | Mets Correspondent | Tue, May 13th 10:02am EDT

Jose Siri (tibia) has resumed baseball activities and is progressing more quickly than anticipated in his recovery from a fractured tibia. Siri suffered the injury in mid-April. (Tim Britton)

Fantasy Impact:

While there is no specific date for the 29-year-old outfielder to begin a rehab assignment, he could potentially return sooner than the initial 8-10 week timeline given when he was injured in mid-April. In Siri's absence, Tyrone Taylor has handled most of the center field duties, with Jeff McNeil also seeing time there.
