Fantasy Impact:

McClanahan was working his way back from left triceps nerve irritation when his rehab assignment was paused in late July after he began feeling biceps tendinitis. He underwent a season-ending surgical procedure on Monday to address the lingering nerve issue. Rays manager Kevin Cash noted, “This is one step, and we’ll see how this goes. Hopefully, we get good results.” McClanahan has not pitched in an MLB game since August 2, 2023, and the club is expected to be cautious with his recovery.
