Matt Mervis signs minor league deal with Diamondbacks

The Arizona Diamondbacks signed Matt Mervis to a minor league contract on Tuesday. (Alex Weiner on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Miami Marlins released Mervis on August 4 after he posted a .175/.254/.383 slash line in 120 at-bats this season. He signed with the Diamondbacks eight days later and will report to the Triple-A Reno.
