Enrique Hernandez has resumed on-field batting practice and is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City during the week of August 18. (MLB.com)

Hernandez, who has been on the injured list since July 7 with left elbow inflammation, is nearing a rehab assignment. He was recently seen fielding grounders and is now taking on-field batting practice. He will need at least a few rehab games before being reinstated.
