Nolan Arenado (shoulder) has been activated from the IL and rejoined the Cardinals ahead of Monday's game against the Reds. (Jim Hayes on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Cardinals are still technically alive in the NL Wild Card race, sitting at four games out as the week begins. With that, the club will certainly welcome back Arenado. The Cards veteran leader will be in the lineup for the first time since July 30 on Monday night. This season certainly has not been up to par for the 34-year-old, as he has posted a .660 OPS with only 10 homers over 96 games. Still, an eight-time All-Star, Arenado is important presence for the team.
