Luis Torrens began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, starting behind the plate and going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
The New York Mets placed Torrens on the injured list to give him a chance to rest from forearm discomfort he had been battling all season. He could have played through the injury but his return is expected to be around September 17, his first day of eligibility.
