Kenley Jansen will skip the Los Angeles Angels' three-game series against the Colorado Rockies this weekend for precautionary reasons related to his heart condition. (Rhett Bollinger on Twitter)

Jansen will not travel with the team to Colorado for their weekend series as a precaution late in the season. Given his history of a heart condition that required corrective surgery in 2018, he is avoiding Coors Field’s high altitude, which can cause complications. He is expected to rejoin the Angels when they host the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. In his absence, Brock Burke is likely to receive save opportunities.
