Sandy Alcantara allowed three earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.2 innings in Thursday's victory against the Rockies.

After today’s win, Alcantara now has a 5.48 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with a record of 10-12 across 30 starts this season. Despite the poor season-long stats, Alcantara has been much better in the latter part of the second half. Including this game, he's gone at least six innings in seven straight appearances. During that span, he has a 2.70 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, and 9.4 K/9. He'll look to keep it going next week against the Phillies.
