Edwin Diaz receives $22.05 million qualifying offer from Mets
by Bruno Mulé | Dodgers Correspondent | Thu, Nov 6th 5:29pm EST
The New York Mets extended a one-year, $22.05 million qualifying offer to closer Edwin Diaz on Thursday. This move follows Diaz's decision earlier this offseason to opt out of his contract with the Mets, which had two years remaining on it. (Jeff Passan)
Fantasy Impact:
Diaz is expected to decline the qualifying offer. This procedural move ensures the Mets will receive draft compensation if Diaz signs with another team. He is coming off a 2025 season in which he posted a 1.63 ERA with 28 saves across 66.1 innings.
