The Arizona Diamondbacks extended a one-year, $22.05 million qualifying offer to starting pitcher Zac Gallen on Thursday. The move comes after Gallen finished what was described as the worst season of his MLB career in 2025. (Jeff Passan)
Fantasy Impact:
Gallen, who turns 30 next August, posted career worsts in 2025 with a 4.83 ERA, 15 losses, an 8.2 K/9, and a 1.5 HR/9. It is unclear what his market will be after the down year, but he could decline the qualifying offer in hopes of securing a long-term deal. If he signs elsewhere, Arizona would receive draft compensation.
