Brian Serven signs minor league deal with Athletics

Brian Serven has signed a minor league deal with the Athletics. He has been assigned to Triple-A Las Vegas, but may be invited to MLB Spring Training. (MLB Trade Rumors)
Fantasy Impact:
Serven has seen some time at the big league level, playing parts of three seasons with the Rockies and Blue Jays. He last played in the majors in 2024 when he appeared in 28 games for Toronto and batted .159 in 71 plate appearances. Serven played in the Tigers' organization last season and hit .231 with three home runs in Single-A Lakeland and Triple-A Toledo combined. Serven will provide experienced organizational depth at the catcher position.
