Jackson Holliday will begin the season on the IL due to a broken right hamate bone and will have surgery tomorrow. (Roch Kubatko)
Fantasy Impact:
Holliday was expected to be Baltimore's Opening Day second baseman, but he will now have to wait to join an already-crowded Orioles infield. Hamate bone injuries can have a lingering effect on a hitter's power, so fantasy managers need to bake in some risk with the 22-year-old phenom.
