Fantasy Impact:
Lauer will earn $4.4 million this season instead of the $5.75 million he filed for. Manager John Scheider told the media on Tuesday that Lauer will be stretched out as a starter in spring training but he will be hard-pressed to crack the club's deep rotation after adding Dylan Cease in the offseason, while Shane Bieber exercised his player option to return to the club in 2026.
