The Cardinals designated Kent for assignment in early January, but he will now rejoin the organization after being reclaimed. He has appeared in 117 career minor league games, posting a 4.13 ERA with 369 strikeouts across 322.1 innings. In a corresponding move, the Cardinals designated Bryan Ramos for assignment.
