Graham Pauley (forearm) shutdown from baseball activities

by David Leisering | Marlins Correspondent | Mon, Feb 23rd 8:26pm EST

Graham Pauley (forearm) has been shut down from all baseball activity due to ongoing tightness in his forearm. He has been sent for imaging and the team should have an update in a few days. (Christina De Nicola on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Pauley has an opportunity to break camp as the Marlins' every day third baseman, so an injury requiring him to miss time is noteworthy. Pauley slashed .224/.311/.366 in 184 plate appearances with the Marlins last season. He is a career .271 hitter in four minor league seasons with 49 home runs and 40 stolen bases in 309 games. Pauley's primary competition at third is Connor Norby who has far more power but not the plate discipline that Pauley has.
