Jack Leiter adds cutter to arsenal

Leiter debuted a cutter during Monday's spring outing, throwing two of the pitch and generating a flyout and groundout. He developed the offering this offseason while training with Garrett Crochet in Tennessee, studying the Red Sox ace's cutter grip. (Kennedi Landry)
Fantasy Impact:
"You're not looking for swing and misses with it, per se," Leiter said. "It's more to just finish at-bats quicker, which is what I've been needing in order to be more efficient." Efficiency has plagued Leiter, though he demonstrated progress in that area during the second half of 2025.
