Athletics outfielder Lawrence Butler (knee) has been cleared to take batting practice and participate in simple defensive drills. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Butler, 25, is recovering from a patellar tendon procedure he underwent in October. He has yet to be cleared to run the bases, which continues to keep him out of spring action. A return to game play midway through spring training is expected, while he should be good to go on Opening Day.
