Peterson (triceps) sustained a right triceps strain in late February. The injury will prevent him from being available for the start of the season. (GuardsInsider)

Cleveland optioned him to minor-league camp on Friday. Peterson will be assigned to Triple-A Columbus' rotation once he completes his recovery.
