Jordan Lawlar to get corner outfield looks

Lourdes Gurriel (knee) is expected to miss at least until mid-April, and Alek Thomas became available after Team Mexico was eliminated from the World Baseball Classic by Team Italy — a combination that opens the door for Lawlar in both center and left field when the regular season begins. Manager Torey Lovullo said Thursday that Lawlar will receive looks at corner outfield positions before spring training concludes. (Alex Weiner)
