Michael Soroka hammered Thursday in first loss of season
by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Fri, May 1st 12:23am EDT
Michael Soroka was tagged for eight runs on ten hits in just three innings on Thursday as the Diamondbacks suffered a 13-1 loss to the Brewers.
Fantasy Impact:
Soroka dropped to 4-1 on the season as the Brewers jumped on the righthander early and often on Thursday. He allowed three runs in the first, three more in the third, and then allowed four straight singles - accounting for two more runs - to start the fourth inning before exiting. Soroka had been excellent up to Thursday's contest, but saw his ERA rise from 2.60 to 4.70 and his WHIP go from 1.16 to 1.43. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, on Wednesday, against the Pirates.
